7 suites hotel observatory

it's only recently when we have informed our guest, friends and families the venue of our wedding. a huge chunk of our budget is allocated for our venue. and we didn't really wan't to divulge any info during the early stages of our preps until we are certain that we've got all the expenses covered.

now, a little over a month before the wedding we are now sure that we can cover everything. and now would be the best time as any to start sharing about the place.

 A STELLAR GETAWAY
Seven Suites Hotel Observatory is the first and only hotel observatory in the Philippines.
Seven Suites offer a stunning view of the metropolis: its city lights and the dazzling night sky.

The stunning view of the city lights was definitely one of the selling point for Von and I. Our company held one of our anniversary parties there 2 years ago but never did we imagine that we'd go back to hold another important celebration there. The place was renovated after the Sykes party and looked so much better since then.

Yesterday, we visited the place again to discuss the final details of our event and to also finalize our menu. We had a food tasting and Von and I along w/ my mom enjoyed everything that they served! The inclusion in the package says complimentary food tasting for two and we were surprised that the servings that was prepared was hefty and more than enough for 3-5 persons. There were many leftovers but too bad we can't take them home.

Here's the lineup of our final menu:
creamy seafood bisque for starters
option for soup was between this creamy seafood bisque and wild mushroom soup. mushroom soup is already very common in reception menus nowadays so we opted for something different, hence, the seafood soup.

Mixed Greens with Seasonal Fruits & Nuts tossed in Sweet Balsamic Vinaigrette
my mom definitely enjoyed the salad. other option for salad is Fresh Garden Vegetables with Garlic Ranch and Lemon Anchovy Dressing. being the vinegar lover that I am, we just have to go for the vinaigrette dressing!

classic paella valenciana
1st viand is the paella valenciana. other option is Arroz con Pollo with Fresh Green Beans and Peppers. since we already have another chicken dish in the menu and arroz is made up chicken we opted for the paella to add a touch of seafood to the menu. their paella was good but a little salty so we requested to adjust its saltiness.

Herb Roasted Chicken with Citrus Honey Sauce
chicken is also good. we chose the herb roasted chicken over Teriyaki Style Chicken Supremes with Toasted Sesame Seeds.

beef bordelaise

Callos with Chorizos, Garbansos and Pimientos
we had to choose between beef bordelaise and callos. we can't choose off hand so we had to have a taste of the 2 options, we ordered extra and ended up going with the beef bordelaise.

Tagliatelli with Pesto Cream Sauce

Penne Pasta with Classic Pomodoro Sauce and Parmesan Cheese
for the pasta, we also had to choose with pomodoro or pesto cream sauce. being the red sauce lover that i am we all agreed for the penne pasta with classic pomodoro sauce and parmesan cheese.

enjoying the food

we also tried our dessert choices Crème Brulee and Cinnamon Tiramisu. unfortunately i forgot to take a picture due to my eagerness to chow them down!

Food was catered by Cravings. All was great and we are very satisfied. Von even said that are guests are lucky with our food lineup. Aside from the food tasting, we also finalized the details of the inclusions in our package.
